Purpose of the role: We are seeking a highly analytical and results-driven professional to lead and optimize materials and production planning processes while acting as a key integrator between Operations and Commercial teams. This role plays a critical leadership position in the Sales & Operations Planning (S&OP) process, ensuring alignment between demand, supply, and product management. The professional will be responsible for developing robust materials and production plans that maximize resource utilization, meet production specifications, and achieve volume, cost, and quality targets, while ensuring operational feasibility and efficiency. The role will be based in Vespasiano/MG, Brazil. Responsibilities include: Lead and coordinate the S&OP process, ensuring alignment across Commercial, Product Management, Supply Chain, Production, and Finance. Act as the primary interface between Planning and Commercial teams, aligning demand forecasts and firm demands with operational capabilities. Develop, implement, and continuously improve material and production planning strategies and processes. Capacity Planning - Develop and implement detailed production plans to maximize resource utilization and meet production specifications, schedules, and performance targets (volume, cost, waste, and quality). Prepare and manage material requirements and production plans to ensure smooth manufacturing execution. Monitor production activities and analyze operational data to ensure material flow is aligned with production requirements. Adjust production schedules to accommodate backlogs, engineering changes, and material or labor constraints. Identify bottlenecks, risks, and inefficiencies, and propose corrective actions. Drive scenario planning and trade-off analysis (service level, cost, inventory, and capacity). Ensure alignment between strategic plans and day-to-day execution. Track and report KPIs such as forecast accuracy, on time production, capacity utilization, inventory turns, and plan adherence. Drive continuous improvement initiatives using Lean, Six Sigma, or similar methodologies. Experience and education: Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering, Supply Chain, Business Administration, or related field. Advanced degree (MBA or Master’s) is a plus. Advanced English. Experience in Mass/Continuous Production environments Experience in industrial planning, production planning, or S&OP roles. Proven experience leading or coordinating S&OP processes. Advanced proficiency in Excel and experience with ERP systems (Preferrable SAP). Experience with MRP, and demand planning tools. Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing and continuous improvement methodologies. Excellent analytical, communication, and stakeholder management skills. Ability to influence decisions and drive cross-functional alignment.
