About the Role
To support leading the company’s strategic agenda in Brazil focused on promoting the identification and development of sustainable new business opportunities and partnerships. This position requires an integrated vision of long-term growth of the company in the country aligned with ESG principles and the interest of communities and relevant stakeholders.
Key Accountabilities:
Act as an originator for new business opportunities, drawing insights from analysis using industry knowledge and market intelligence to build a robust case for new business opportunities in alignment with strategic and portfolio priorities.
Determine the features of an attractive asset, by conducting analysis, leveraging deep expertise of the suite of assets available in a particular industry, to distinguish features across different assets for similar commodities.
Build sustainable partnerships with internal leaders, industry peers and professional service firms to improve BHP's analytical skillsets and access to data and information on new opportunities.
Develop and socialize a business case for opportunities with different alternatives to unlock the commercial opportunity and create / review presentation materials/drafts papers to appropriately address audience needs.
Recommend value-adding investment decisions through evaluation and validation of investment decisions to ensure they are value adding and in line with BHP's strategic and portfolio priorities.
Develop and action a plan for managing and executing opportunities: management and execution of multiple transaction workstreams and directly working with internal subject matter experts and external advisors to provide technical input.
About You
Degree in Business Administration or Economy or Engineering (Portuguese: Administração de Negócios, Economia or Engenharia) or related field.
Master Degree of MBA would be a plus.
7-10 years minimum work experience.
Proficiency at business evaluation and corporate finance.
Proficiency at excel financial modeling.
Proficiency in creating executive power point presentations.
Previous experience with Treasury activities/roles is a plus (Equity / Debt Capital markets).
Previous exposure to negotiation environments / M&A deal execution and preparation is a plus.
Fluent English.
Spanish is a plus.
Location: Brazil.
